Moses Broyles places an advertisement on behalf of an unnamed father searching for his children, Lewis Mason and Ann Mason, and their mother, Millie Mason.
The Masons were enslaved by the family of "Edw." (possibly Edward?) Bookins in Carrol County, Kentucky. The unnamed searcher was formerly enslaved by Richard Butler, the brother of General William O. Butler. The searcher now lives in Indianapolis.
This undated advertisement appears in the July 1, 1876 issue of the Baptist Herald, a paper from Paducah, Kentucky.
